A3 (29.7cm x 42 cm) screen-print entitled 'Sheffield City View No.7' printed in green-grey.
The print started out as a linocut, and then I transferred the image to a silk-screen to complete the hand-printed edition.
My seventh view of the city of Sheffield, this is a view from the north-east of the city centre. the view is from Blonk Street looking up the River Don, with the old Town Hall and Exchange Place in the middle ground, and the current Town Hall and the spire from the Cathedral Church of St Marie in the background.
It might not be the most obvious view of the city, but I find it very interesting, in that it shows a lot of different sides to the city, and a lot of different ages of ar tecture.
